Settling the repeat before the Schiffli machine runs
A single repeat runs hundreds of times in one pass of the machine, and we settle its measurement before production runs.

A Schiffli machine works a single repeat across the full width of the cloth in one pass. Hundreds of needles come down together, and every repetition of the repeat is stitched to the same settings.
A repeat that is out by one millimetre reproduces that difference hundreds of times along the cloth. We therefore do our own punching, and we confirm the measurement of the repeat at the sample stage.
